Abstract

THE frequent need for quick action in the preparation of medications given hypodermically to children has evolved the cabinet here illustrated. Within it is kept every article necessary for the preparation and administration of the medication, with the exception of narcotic tablets, which must be locked in a separate cupboard. The cabinet itself was made by the hospital carpenter who devised the means of suspension for the small tray in the cover, as well as the frame for the transparent doors (of x-ray films) which are hinged so as to open easily when the cabinet is cleaned. We slip the accompanying two lists behind these doors.
