Abstract

The traditional method of separating the luminance and chrominance signal components of a composite video signal in a conventional television receiver involves the use of tuned trap and bandpass circuits. The disadvantages tages of this method are that the separation is by no means perfect, and the full bandwidth of the luminance and chrominance signals cannot be utilized.
