Abstract
This paper presents an operational trans-conductance amplifier base simple square/triangular waveform generator (WFG). For realizing the WFG, the circuit includes two OTAs, one capacitor, and a resistor. The proposed system provides the features of frequency and peak-to-peak amplitude adjustment using bias currents, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. The WFG is designed and fabricated in SCL 180 nm CMOS process technology with a supply of 1.8 V. The feasibility of the fabricated circuit setup is verified, and the measured results are recorded. The square wave generated from the measurement shows approximately 50% duty cycle, an amplitude tuning range of 0.5 − 1.15 V p − p over the mid-rail voltage, and a frequency tuning range of 70 kHz to 960 kHz.
