Abstract

Purpose: Bradykinin is a chemical mediator involved in many inflammatory disorders. It produces symptoms of pain and irritation through the stimulation of primary sensory neurons. The activation and release of bradykinin can be enhanced in the presence of an artificial surface. The aim of this study was to investigate bradykinin in response to ocular insult and contact lens wear.
