Abstract

Recently Coyne et al. 1) have shown that mixing of glueballs with ordinary quark states gives a radiative decay width of the <PI] into a 0-+ glueball comparable to its radiative decay width into the TIc and a search for such decays would be a sensitive test for the existence of glueballs. By assuming the existence of glueball states, in this paper, a possible vector dominance model (a pseudoscalar or scalar dominance model) for glueballs and ordinary quark states is suggested and the effects of a 1-glueball on decays of heavy vector mesons are examined. I t is well known that in the vector dominance model,2) the V( QQ)-y coupling is expressed in the form
