Abstract

Recently, we have succeeded in growing sizable single crystals of the oxide superconductor (La1-xSrx)2CuO4-δ(LSCO). We have performed positive muon spin relaxation (µSR) experiments on these single crystals and found that a magnetic ordering coexists with the superconductivity/1/. The concentration(x) vs temperature(T) phase diagram determined from the µSR experiments is shown in Fig.1. Qualitatively, this phase diagram is the same as that of the similar compound (La1-xBax)2CuO4-δ/2,3/ except the coexistence. A theoretical phase diagram of LSCO has been proposed by AHARONY et al./4/ in which the spin-glass(SG) phase appears in the concentrations between the antiferromagnetic(AF) and superconducting(SC) phases. Experimentally, LSCO is AF at low temperatures up to at least x=0.025/5/. Then, SG is limited, if present, to the concentrations x>0.025.
