Abstract

The general purpose of this article is the presentation of portfolio worker’s concept in connection with types of worktime organization and types of employment. In accordance with Ch. Handy [16] portfolio working becomes a future of labour market or at least unavoidable consequence of changing organizations. His optimism is stopped by R. Sennett [40], who states that development of portfolio working is the effect of blockade of other types of career and the promotion of self-employment. Nevertheless Poland is the third country in Europe considering the number of portfolio workers. It explains why it is worth to analyze such a phenomenon and research it from various psychological perspectives.
