Abstract
Recently at the University of Bristol, the honorary degree of Master of Arts was conferred on a distinguished police officer, Mr. George Twist, C.B.E., Q.P.M., LL.M. one of Her Majesty's Inspectors of Constabulary and previously Chief Constable of the City and County of Bristol. In commending Mr. Twist to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Michael Banton said of him:
