Abstract

A rapid polarographic technique for the determination of glucose with a Clark-type O 2 electrode and glucose oxidase is described. The method is sensitive and accommodates a greater range of glucose concentrations than the conventional spectrophotometric glucose oxidase procedure. The simplicity and advantages of the polarographic method are discussed. The new technique was tested in the determination of residual glucose in premelanoidin preparations.
