Abstract

This article addresses reflection, transmission, and diffraction mechanisms due to a magnetically conductive half-screen lit by an incident plane wave. The proposed method is founded on the physical optics approximation of the equivalent surface currents under the validity of proper boundary conditions and works according to the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction. Resulting formulas are presented in simple form and are easy to manage. The validation tests employ data resulting from the radio frequency unit of a full-wave numerical tool.
