Abstract

An variable universe fuzzy control system was designed to control the position of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) intelligently considering nonlinear and parameters time-variation. By the analysis of dynamic equation of permanent magnet linear synchronous motors, a position controller for permanent magnet linear synchronous motor is carried out based on the variable universe fuzzy theory, which can modify universe according to the change of inputs, and results in the improved position precision and robustness. A simulation model of the variable universe fuzzy logic controller used for permanent magnet linear synchronous motor is established in this paper. The simulation results show this control system has satisfactory performance.
