Abstract

AbstractDuring the microbiological examination of freshwater sediment samples for dichloromethane (DCM)‐degrading bacteria, a Flavobacterium sp. was isolated which contained two plasmids with molecular masses (X 106 daltons) of 13.0 and 2.1 as evidenced by agrose gel electrophoresis of cleared cell lysates. This may be one of the frist reports on the presence of plasmids in a Flavobacterium sp.
