Abstract
Abstract A planar heterodinuclear phthalocyaninylnaphthalocyanine (1) in which a phthalocyanine (Pc) and naphthalocyanine (Nc) share a common benzene ring has been synthesized for the first time and its electronic absorption, magnetic circular dichroism (MCD), and fluorescence data are reported. 1 and its deprotonated species show broad Q bands in the near-IR region.
