Abstract

This paper proposes a planar circular polarization selective surface (CPSS) with L-shape arms fabricated on single-layer dielectric board. This design has been verified to reflect left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) incident wave while transmit right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) incident wave. More than 30dB high isolation of two types of polarization is realized. This design on single-layer PCB significantly simplifies fabrication procedure, compared with previous 3D or multilayer CPSS. The working principle and design has been studied, which is guidance for CPSS design and application in radar, communication applications.
