Abstract

The following pilot study compares the effectiveness of 3 different methods for learning English vocabulary. Students were randomly placed in 3 separate groups, namely classroom, online and self-study. Students were taught vocabulary in both the classroom and online groups while the self-study group had no input from the instructor. The results of the study found no significant differences between the pre and post-test differences of the 3 groups.
