Abstract

A method for measuring the power of laser radiation in a wide range of wavelengths is introduced. The method is based on weak heating of an optically transparent piezoelectric resonator through which laser radiation is transmitted. After passing through such a resonator, the beam quality of laser radiation remains unchanged and the optical power can be utilized in laser technologies.
