Abstract

As a well-known channel coding method, polar codes can be proved to reach the Shannon limit theoretically. In polar codes, bad channels are used to transmit frozen bits. This paper design a encryption algorithm based on partial frozen bits and AES encrypter. A physical layer encryption method based on frozen and chaotic sequences was presented and analyzed in our previous work. Although this algorithm could achieve a better effect on security and reliability, it needs enough chaotic sequences when the length of frozen bits becomes longer. Thus we make further research about the effects caused by various numbers of encrypted frozen bits. What’s more, we use AES encrypter to encrypt the chaotic sequences, which make our scheme safer. The simulations show that this algorithm could make full use of polar codes and prevent eavesdroppers from obtaining effective information.
