Abstract

The increasingly complex issues associated with climate change and environmental degradation have generated significant urgency for the international community to overcrowding sustainable energy alternatives. The validation of energy potential calculations for Lahore City was undertaken using climate data acquired from NASA and the meteorological department of Pakistan. The efficacy of photovoltaic resource evaluation can be enhanced through the integration of climatology data, digital elevation models, and population exposure. The findings of this study suggest significant possibilities for solar photovoltaic installations in Lahore. The results indicate that the implementation of small-scale solar panels has the potential to improve the sustainable energy infrastructure in Lahore. The northeastern region of Lahore is characterized by its significant potential. This study highlights the significance of cross-sector partnerships in facilitating the uptake of solar panels, which holds promise for promoting an evolution in the worldwide energy industry and effectively mitigating the detrimental impacts of climate change.
