Abstract

In close cooperation with architectural circles, Carl Zeiss Oberkochen has developed a special photogrammetric equipment system, which satisfies also the needs of archeologists to a high degree: wide-angle stereometric camera systems with a fixed base for taking photographs from subjects 2.5–40 m far, single cameras with a focal length of 60 mm and 120 mm, and a variable base for long camera-to-subject distances; inclinable camera axis between 0 g and ± 100 g ; extreme close-up range photography by means of short-focus lenses. Plotting in case of three-dimensional objects is done with a stereoplotter; if there is no pronounced relief, one can use a simple rectifier.
