Abstract

The Government of Rajasthan introduced the Rajasthan Right to Health Bill, 2022, which was passed in March 2023 after being referred to the Select Committee. Doctors in Rajasthan expressed apprehensions about the Bill, which led to the government modifying some clauses in the Act. As per the "Memorandum of Understanding between IMA and PHNHS and UPCHAR and State Government," certain private hospitals will be excluded from the Act. Hospitals run by trusts and those established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode will be covered under the Act, and there will be a single-window system for licenses and approvals for hospitals. The paper then draws parallels between the recent situation in Rajasthan and how the unied voice of people has the power to achieve a common goal. It highlights the stories of the fall of the Jericho wall, the destruction of the demon king Hiranyakashipu, and the siege of the city of Ta'if, which demonstrate the power of sound and the importance of a unied voice.
