Abstract
To better prepare first year students to apply physical examination in clinical clerkships we created A-PEX, a case-based program integrated into both their physical diagnosis and anatomy courses. In these two different but mutually reinforcing contexts students applied physical examination to differential diagnosis and simulated procedures to solve clinical problems.
