Abstract
A technique has been described which successfully maintains a controlled microenvironmental condition on a cellulosic substrate by continuous perfusion with predetermined nutrient solution. This technique has been used to study the effect of pH on the fungal colonization of the cellulosic substrate and its deterioration.
