Abstract

IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is confronted to various evolutions. The purpose of these evolutions is focused on enhancing subscriber experience by offering a variety of services that meets his needs and requirements. To respond to this problematic, we must consider subscriber profile information in service discovery process. IMS presents a significant mass of information of subscribers' profiles and their behavior in terms of services use. Thus, we consider three main elements in our discovery process namely, subscriber profile information, service information and service use log information. However, this important mass on information may present risks of retrieving non-oriented services to the subscribers' needs and expectations in addition to its impact on the network performances. This paper presents an overview of our performant funnel based mobile service discovery and exposure model in order to minimize the gap between services and subscribers' requirements by taking advantages of the available mass of information without deteriorating network performances. Results shows improvement compared to other related works on several axes.
