Abstract

Peano monosplines are a special class of Peano kernels. Their zeros are essential for deriving multiple error bounds for numerical quadrature regarding the weight function w(x)≡1. As the performance of their zero-finding can influence the numerical results of Peano error constants, this article aims to give a concrete inspection of the improvements in deriving the zeros of Peano monosplines by the extended interval Newton method.
