Abstract
An efficient algorithm for arbitrary array pattern synthesis is presented. Based on the adaptive array theory, artificial interferers are introduced to control the pattern shape. With the proposed algorithm, we can control the pattern shape precisely in both mainlobe and sidelobe region. The synthesized pattern that is nearly the same as the reference pattern can be obtained. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm
