Abstract

Dual atrioventricular nodal physiology (DNP) is the basis of the most common supraventricular tachycardia, atrioventricular nodal reentry-tachycardia (AVNRT). However, it may also cause extrasystole or supraventricular tachycardia by 1:2-AV conduction via the fast and the slow pathways of the AV-node (AVN). This arrhythmia has been termed dual atrioventricular nodal nonreentrant tachycardia (DAVNNT [1]). So far, only case-reports are available (i.e. [2,3]; for systematic review see [1]).
