Abstract
Through a collaborative effort with Kansas State University's Institute for Social and Behavioral Research, a marketing health care needs survey was conducted at Irwin Army Community Hospital prior to the implementation of coordinated care. The objectives of this survey were: (1) determine household health care program eligibility; (2) measure usage, perceptions, and barriers in our health care system; and (3) gauge interest in prospective changes or new programs. Using the results of this survey, valuable information was obtained for strategic planning and new programs were developed with the needs of our population in mind.
