Abstract

Since September 2019, Dipan Kundu has been a senior lecturer (elsewhere asst. prof.) in the School of Chemical Engineering & Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). After receiving his PhD (ETH Zurich, Switzerland) in 2012, he worked with Prof. Linda Nazar between 2013 and 2016 at the University of Waterloo in Canada, where he co-founded a Zn-ion battery startup. From 2017 until joining UNSW, he was a research group leader at the Deptartment of Materials at ETH Zurich through the SNSF Ambizione Grant. His team's current research interest span aqueous Zn batteries, solid-state batteries, and solid electrolytes. Yuan Shang received his BS from the Powder Metallurgy Research Institute at Central South University and his MS from the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering at UNSW. Now, he is a PhD candidate in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW under the supervision of Dr. Dipan Kundu. His current research interest concerns the practical development of the Zn anode for aqueous Zn-ion batteries.
