Abstract
We present here a particle description model for quantum tunneling effects. A quantum force has been formulated based on a truncation to first order of the expansion form of the Wigner transport equation, and has been incorporated into the semiclassical Monte Carlo simulation. The combined Monte Carlo/quantum force approach was applied to simulations for resonant-tunneling effects.
