Abstract

ABSTRACTGasification is a clean technology for production of high caloric value syngas. In this study, a kinetic model of gasification of heavy oil is developed to investigate the influence of oxygen ratio and pressure on the quality of syngas and performance parameters. Results showed that the oxygen ratio improves the caloric value of syngas and gasification efficiency, and also found that the pressure has a minor effect on the process. The model was validated against experimental data and found to be in good agreement.
