Abstract

12345 This paper discusses the parallel implementation of pressure-based, general-purpose unstructured finite volume flow solver (UNIC-UNS). Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) is used as the communication library for parallel implementation. The single–program multiple data (SPMD) model of computing is implemented. Recursive Coordinate Bisection (RCB) and Recursive Graph Bisection (RGB) strategies are used for domain decomposition. Numerical studies are conducted for several benchmark cases for validation. High accuracy, performance and efficiency are achieved in the current implementation.
