Abstract

This paper describes the new features implemented in the WebSPN modeling tool for the analysis of non-Markovian stochastic Petri nets (NMSPN). In our approach, we envisage a discretization of time and an approximation of firing times for non-exponentially distributed transitions, by means of the Phase type distribution. In order to solve the problems related to the management of the state space (which can become very large) we managed to parallelize the solution algorithms by means of the MPI libraries [1].
