Abstract

As is known, the main problem which must be solved in the creation of fully steerable parabolic antennas of high resolving power in the short centimeter and millimeter wavelength ranges is the problem of the geometry of the mirror system, i.e., the problem of providing high focusing properties for the main parabolic mirror and preserving them when the antenna is rotated about the elevation axis of the supporting-rotating mechanism. In this case the refocusing of the mirror system should not occur when the antenna rotates about the horizontal axis of the supporting-rotating mechanism as a result of displacements of elements of the exciter system in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
