Abstract

Inorganic anions were studied by paper electrophoresis and ion-exchange paper chromatography employing electrolytes and eluents with various metal ions (Mg 2+, Al 3+ and Cd 2+). It was found that the metal ion has a strong effect on the movement of anions in paper electrophoresis both by ion pair and complex formatin In ion-exchange paper chromatography the effect is small. Data are given for twenty inorganic anions.
