Abstract

In this issue of <i>Chem</i>, Li and co-workers provide a solution for a long-standing challenge of photoredox catalysts by designing a photoactive ligand that can engage a slew of inexpensive first-row transition metals to replace precious-metal catalysts in forging various C–C and C–heteroatom bonds.
