Abstract

Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) has been proposed as one of the air interface candidates for the fourth generation wireless communication systems. However, MC-CDMA systems suffer a lot of performance degradation due to carrier frequency offsets. In this paper proposes a Numerical Technique based on the secant method for blind Maximum-Likelihood (ML) estimation of carrier frequency offset in MC-CDMA Systems over Additive White Gaussian Noise channels (AWGN). The proposed technique is characterized by low complexity and fast convergence while maintaining the estimation accuracy.
