Abstract
AbstractWhen the boiler is operated at different loads, the characteristics of ash deposition in the boiler will change accordingly. In this paper, a 660MW tangentially fired power boiler is taken as the research object. The combustion characteristics and ash deposition on the boiler walls are studied by numerical simulation. The results show that: 1) In the middle and lower part of the furnace wall, more particles are deposited, the temperature is higher and the CO concentration is higher, so slagging is easy to occur. 2) The ash accumulation in the bottom hopper mainly comes from the bottom two layers of burners for >98%. 3) The deposition ratio is negatively correlated with the height of the burner. 4) With the particle diameter increasing, the particle deposition from the lower burner increases significantly. Selecting pulverized coal with particle size of 65 µm can reduce the risk of ash deposition.
