Abstract

The Blasius equation is one of the most famous equations of fluid dynamics and represents the problem of an incompressible fluid that passes on a semi-infinity flat plate. A third-order ordinary differential equation is recast into a third-order ordinary differential equation in finite domain [0, 1]. This method is based on B-spline functions and converts the Blasius equation to a system of nonlinear algebraic equations. Numerical solutions were found to be in a good agreement with other published methods.
