Abstract
A numerical simulation of a gas-solid two-phase flow in a vertical upward pipe is made to examine the influence of collision between particles by using the same probability model which was proposed in the previous paper. We use coarse particles of uniform size as well as heterogeneous size and assume the velocity profile of air as uniform or 1/7th power law. The results show that the collision between particles promotes the particle dispersion both in the axial and radial direction of the pipe.
