Abstract
One of the classroom activities that my students and I enjoy is finding expressions that relate the digits of the page number of an assignment. For example, when we are working on page 283, the students might notice that the power of 2 that produces 8 is 3. All arithmetic facts and relationships are fair to use. Phone numbers and license plates also furnish some interesting possibilities.
