Abstract

Under the appropriate condition, it becomes possible that the excess optical path difference due to an off-axis scatter point cancels the optical path difference of an aspherical mirror from a spherical mirror. Using this condition, a new convenient method to realize the null test of aspherical mirrors is proposed without using any special optical element.
