Abstract

In this paper, the design and analysis of a novel wideband dual-polarization coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed antenna for wireless communication systems is presented. The antenna can realize two orthogonal polarizations with low cross-polarization level by exciting two ports respectively. The proposed antenna has a small size of $60 \times 60 \times 1.6$ mm3, and the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is as large as 66% relative to the centre frequency of 2.13 GHz. The antenna has many advantages, including low cross-polarization level, wide-bandwidth (1.42-2.83 GHz) and good isolation.
