Abstract

AbstractA novel 90° hybrid at the V‐band using surface micromachining technology is designed and measured. It employs a uniplanar structure which is composed of parallel coupled microstrip lines and delay lines. Compared with the conventional hybrids, cascaded parallel coupled lines with delay lines can make the coupling tighter as the number of coupled lines grows. The measured insertion loss is less than 2 dB and the phase imbalance is less than ±5° at 60 GHz. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
