Abstract
A compact planar triple-mode bandpass filter with meander line and central-loaded stub is presented. In the design, by meandering the loop hexagon line, the size of filter is reduced efficiently. With the integration of central-loaded line, additional transmission pole and zero are well excited and could be shifted easily. By combining of the additional mode and first-order split degeneration modes of the hexagon resonator, a wide triple-mode passband could be achieved. Moreover, the additional transmission zero is very close to the passband, which achieve a strong out-of-band rejection. The proposed filter operating at 2.45 GHz is fabricated and measured. The experimental results are in agreement with the simulation values on the whole. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 58:9–12, 2016
