Abstract

Developing lightweight and high-strength alloys has always been a pursuit of researchers. This study reports a novel Ti45V45(AlCrMo)10 lightweight medium-entropy alloy (LMEA) with a low density of 5.37 g/cm3. The Ti45V45(AlCrMo)10 LMEA had a single-phase body-centered cubic structure and exhibited high yield strength of 1060 MPa. This LMEA showed high specific yield strength of approximately 200 MPa·cm3·g−1, which was superior to most of the reported high/medium-entropy alloys.
