Abstract

A novel technique for the reduction of the truncation error in near-field (NF) antenna measurements is presented. The proposed methodology is based on the generation of an over-compete dictionary to accurately model the radiation of the antenna under test (AUT) and robustly extrapolate the NF pattern outside the measurement region. An illustrative numerical result is shown to assess the performance of the presented technique when dealing with a cylindrical NF set-up.
