Abstract
(CF 3) 2NONPH, synthesized by a novel method involving the reactions of (CF 3) 2NONO and PH 3, underwent cleavage of the NONP bond by HI to give INPH and substitution reactions with the (CF 3) 2NO radical to afford RNPR, where R = ON(CF 3) 2. While INPH gave the relatively stable addition product, INHPHI, with HI, the addition product RNHPRI, derived from RNPR, proved to be unstable even at low temperatures.
