Abstract

(CF 3) 2NONPH, synthesized by a novel method involving the reactions of (CF 3) 2NONO and PH 3, underwent cleavage of the NONP bond by HI to give INPH and substitution reactions with the (CF 3) 2NO radical to afford RNPR, where R = ON(CF 3) 2. While INPH gave the relatively stable addition product, INHPHI, with HI, the addition product RNHPRI, derived from RNPR, proved to be unstable even at low temperatures.
