Abstract
This paper proposes a novel synchronization algorithm with a new weighting scheme based on CAZAC (Constant Amplitude Zero Auto Correlation) sequence for OFDM systems. The timing synchronization and frequency offset is accomplished by using the good property of the CAZAC sequence. It firstly utilizes the two identical parts with the weighting factor to get the timing and the coarse fractional frequency offset. Then with the redundancy of the cyclic prefix, the fine fractional frequency offset is completed later. Moreover, it analyzes about the effect on the CAZAC sequence in time domain from the integer frequency offset. Then the sliding correlation operation in time domain is adopted to estimate the integer frequency offset. By compared to other methods with the computer simulation, it' observed that the proposed method achieve high timing accuracy, and the frequency offset estimation is improved quietly under the multipath fading channel.
