Abstract

Stray light is the strong interference source for star sensors, which seriously affects the quality of the star image. This paper proposes a novel star image preprocessing method to effectively eliminate the influence of stray light on the star image. The suitable principle of star image subdivision is analyzed and the reference value and size coefficient of the star image subdivision unit are determined. The star image grayscale threshold distribution matrix and multi-threshold segmentation are established based on the star image subdivision. The simulation results show that under the condition of stray light and noise interference, the traditional Gaussian filtering method and global threshold segmentation method will be invalid and the proposed method can obtain good star image preprocessing results, which proves the feasibility of the proposed method. The influence of the size of the star image subdivision unit on the performance of the proposed method is analyzed in further simulation experiment, which shows that the range of the size coefficient is reasonable and effective.
