Abstract

Thanks to recent developments in artificial intelligence and smart control technologies, unmanned vehicles are becoming pervasively adopted in a variety of scenarios. As a representative example, unmanned minibuses are integrations of vehicle level intelligence and internet of vehicles, where intelligent link mainly depends on the recognition of environment and precise control of drive-by-wire chastises. On top of these, decision-making systems for driving control can be fulfilled to achieve continuous improvement in safety and reliability. The most important parts of the telematics system include high precision map and positioning, which are the foundation for cooperation among vehicles, road-side control units, and cloud-side centers. In this work, we present a solution for unmanned minibuses that integrated smart features for unmanned driving scenarios. Both hardware design and software capabilities are presented. Prototypes have been manufactured and gone through multiple tests, which indicates feasibility of the proposed solution.
